While he was likely arresting and supporting the arrest of drug crimes suspects in Fresno, former Fresno Deputy Police Chief Keith Foster may also have been involved in the distribution of drugs and making a profit from the sale of heroin, marijuana and prescription drugs. These are the allegations Foster is facing after he was arrested in 2015 by federal investigators. As has been widely reported throughout Fresno and the nation, Foster is one of the highest ranking officers to ever face such serious charges in Fresno’s history.

In recent days a plea deal has been introduced which may keep Foster’s case from going to trial. If he is convicted of the charges he is facing, Foster may serve up to 25 years in prison. If he accepts the plea deal, he will still be sentenced to prison but a significantly lesser sentence will be imposed.
